Hagane no Renkinjutsushi 2

*Full Metal Alchemist 2 set to be aired May of 2009*

Yes, you're definitely reading it right. Finally, the long wait will be over for the new season of Full Metal Alchemist, Hagane no Renkinjutsushi, Hagaren, "Full Metal of Brotherly Love" or whatever you may call it. I'm too, was so excited thinking what would happen to Winry. Check it's new official Japanese website here.

*Winry Rockbell, in her full moeness glory!*

The anime is due to air May of 2009, and I'm hearing that they (Bones) will follow the manga 100 % because of the subpar storyline of the released anime episodes. That may cause a total restart*Don't know about that? Just hearsays.* for the anime since the mangaka's (Arakawa Hiromu) and Bones' storyline were been targets of much criticism from original manga readers. Either way, a total restart or not, me as the anime fan (don't have the time to checked the manga for myself) is very happy to have again the chance to see what will really be the ending to this seem endless tale of brotherly love and science. Yahoo to incest yaoi! Just kidding!

Random What If - Fate/Stay Night

What if...

*Tohsaka Rin never had that little problem with summoning her servant and so Archer didn't loss his memory?*

*Shirou accidentally summoned the real King Arthur in his manly glory?*

*Shirou got really scared because of his recently near-death experiences and realize that his life is precious and didn't want to join the Holy Grail War?*

*Archer beat the hell out of Berserker and able to rejoin Rin & Co.?*

*Archer being the real Shirou gained back his memory after he saw Saber and relive their unfinished love affair?*

*Sakura was the one who ordered Rider instead of his brother?*

*the outfit that put by caster was Haruhi 's bunny cosplay? what would be the right reaction for Shirou?*

*Rin did tell Shirou that she really like him a lot? that she can fight for it against Saber?*

*Gilgamesh is not just the lone surprise servant? What if there's a ninth servant and he looks like Superman?*

*What if Saber acted selfishly and didn't decide to return to her Kingdom and just let her past be ruin by any means she knew would happen if she didn't comes back?

Feito / Sutei Naito

*My favorite Fate Stay Night Master/Servant*

Just finished Fate Stay Night *You might be wondering, "why just now?" . Sorry but I will not go on with that details for now but if you still insist in knowing, you can read it here.* But one of the reasons is, "My buying can't keep up with my watching." kinda thing and I knew most of you suffers to these too. I don't want to go on and give you guys some reviews about it cause that may win me some and hurt some and that I don't want that to happen. *Lolz.* Instead I came up with just this;

What I like about the series...

1. The Harem feel to it. *Even though the girls doesn't exactly confess to Shirou Emiya except Saber of course.*
2. The main heroines are hot! *Tohsaka Rin and Saber are definitely "jaw drops" at least for 2d girls.
3. Got some kick-ass shounen type battle scene. *My favorite was Archer versus Berserker ~ with serious lines from archer that made my heart melt!*
4. Introductions of Noble Phantasm and the unique power of the male lead. *Favorites were Archer's and Gilgamesh's.*

What I don't like...

1. The truth about Saber being King Arthur. *I just don't get it. A girl is actually a King.*
2. The frequency of Shirou getting kicked in his ass. *Near death experiences were his favorites.*
3. Looks like they're the only ones involve in the chaos that supposed to affect the whole world. *Aside from crimes committed by some Masters and the event that took place 10 years ago, I want to see that everything is under Holy grail war's juggernaut.
4. Didn't like the first OP song and the second one is just okay.

*Is Archer really is Shirou?*

I searched for Archer's real identity and I'm really clueless that he is actually Shirou. *I know it's not new but for the benefit of the others like me, you can read it in later part here.

My Verdict:

I'm not trying to summon any of your dying passion for Fate Stay Night or to relive your any unmolested experiences playing or watching it here since time sure really passed me by, I will make it short. A good experience for shoujo/VN fans with a touch of shounen type battle scenes and some melodramatics to touch our hearts. Some flaws were tolerable.

Yozakura Shijuusou 1

Hime's Zettai Ryouiki is FTW.

I'm not about blogging any anime episodes but since my blog is obviously about animes and a made reviews about them also makes a blog interesting, I decided to start one as well *That's is just FMHO.*. Since many have blogged Gundam 00 S2 *I don't want to join the bandwagon.*, I decided to pick from the other list and I remembered that Yozokura Quartet has hit my nerve back then when I'm looking in the upcoming anime previews.

The first episode was nothing epic, the usual introductory phase of most anime series. Story started with the introduction of Sakurashin, a town where human and Youkai can live together *Sounds familiar?*. These town is said the place of Sakura trees that was and only way of the youkai can be send back to their dimension. The Hiizumi clan, where the successor and the only human who can perform the process called "tuning" *Dispel Youkais.* came from, must act to protect human against Youkai with the intention to hurt the latter. Because the Youkai's immigration increasing annually and so with the security risk, the task of protecting the town has become organized, leaving the job to a group consisting of Youkais and the successor of Hiizumi clan.

Some Hiizumi Clan or Zetsubou Sensei?

The episode showed glimpse of how these group "Yozakura Shijuusou or Yozakura Quartet" works in maintaining the order in Sakurashin. A super-strong girl named Hime, a Dragon Incarnation, Ao, a Satori (mind reading Yokai), a conjurer named Kotoha, and a Hiizumi named Akina.

Hime, the Dragon incarnate. She demonstrated her power by...

standing still in high places,...

jumping so high with her long scarf on,

deflecting speeding bullet with her bare hand,

and crying over a overheated instant noodles.

Ao, the mind reader and probably the youngest. She's sad with the
perverted thoughts going on in the air. It's kinda hard for her.

This is how she uses her power. Looks like a scene from some H-anime!

"Much closer look!"

Kotoha, the "Language user". She can summon
things through emphasized words.

Here, she's about to summon load of ammunitions.

and with just that being said, she unleashes the firepower...

I wonder why she didn't use her power to... build her plamos?

Akina, the "Tuning" expert.

Nothing really special about him. Just your normal anime guy who dispels Youkai..
After all it's only the first episode.

Yozakura Quartet, Quar... oh. One, two, three, four, five? Okay, but sure I can count.

The culprit. The reason why I counted five. Kyosuke, the "Oni", huh?

Someone just sneaked in,but in a very obvious place and he looked familiar.

I see, that's why he is so familiar. He looks like Ao.

Oh man! What were they' doing? Siscon?

My Verdict:

Seems like my rapid cognition failed me, nothing really excite me when I watched it. My snap judgment when I first read the description of it in some anime previews really felt short cause it's totally different from what I'm expecting. The animation is just okay, the character design I can say is "Not your typical...". The art through opening and ending themes were quite amusing even though the music is not that "catchy" and I probably will skip it the next time. But since it's just the first episode like what I've said I will still give it a try but to keep on blogging it, nah these is enough. If you want some girls with unconventional character designs and supernatural powers, these probably might do the work. All in all, good anime but not that special.

Anime to Movie Adaptations

Yes! Cowboy Bebop Movie... summer 2008? Why didn't I noticed it?

This is the first part of my 2 part Post Special!

The above picture is just product of Photoshop and good imagination. Looks like many animes today starting to gain popularity for big screen adaptations. Dragon Ball Movie will be out soon in most of the cinema worldwide. Ghost in The Shell, Blood The Last Vampire, Cowboy Bebop are some of the titles rumored to be also out *I can't check the updates as I'm writing these post but I knew Blood production is already finish and maybe out for next year. Korean actress Jyun Ji Hyun a.k.a. Gianna Jun portrays the role of Saya.*. Don't worry I will not tackle them, I know millions done it already. Albeit I don't know and I don't care much how this will turn out (the anime-movie thing) and since most of considered animes have proven themselves already to me and I say worth the time I'd spend watching them, maybe I care a little just for my reference sake *Like for example I can say that Blood movie suck in the future if ever.* I just wanna ask, Do you like the idea of Big movie productions (e.g. Warners) considering Mech oriented animes (Gundam Series) to have hollywood remake? If Transformers pull this one off, how come not the Japanese robots? You might find these amusing.

Saya: Aha! I got a sword. ~pout~ *The plot is simply: Run,, slash, then run.again.*

If ever given a chance to induce some hollywood minds ~ Code Geass will be my bet. ~These is a no brainer for me as I'm starting to become a Code Geass Retard now. In my next post I will give my Hollywood casting *Really love to do it anyway.* for the Code Geass~Lelouch of The Rebellion Hollywood version. I'm thinking really hard as to where to place Mr. Danny Trejo.

Anime Mediocrity?

I been more of an online reader these past few days, reading various posts and sensible rants around the blogsphere. As I'm doing such thing *take note* at work, ONE SUBJECT has been buggling my mind ever since, actually it has been on my mind long long ago, back when I've started researching about the anime titles before I buy, reading reviews about them from anywhere across the web just to satisfy my curiosity. Anyway that subject is; Anime Mediocrity. How can you say that an anime is mediocre? I just don't get it how other people rate certain animes to be no good at all? Same goes when someone talks good about it like the *best of all time* kinda praise so you begun wondering, why they came up with these? Do comments like that stop you exploring the other territories of anime 'cause they just say you shouldn't be wasting your time?

I find it funny when people talking like "unfortunately they didn't...", "very typical story of...", "I find *character's name* quite boring...", and "the sounds? oh you should just skip it..." and by factors like that animes are graded. What really should be in an anime you might think? Do reviewers should stick with pointing out that animes should have killer storyline/plot? Do characters be well designed and got these *out of these world* character developments? Does the music should drag your soul out from it's container for a moment, and after that will create song syndrome that will make you hum it in front of your angry professor and make him swear your ancestors?

Take for example Naruto and Bleach. Many anime bloggers are united in telling that Naruto and Bleach are bad, too bad that we shouldn't be watching them at the all. Their plot are simple *having these guy who will be the hope of mankind* and I feel sorry about that. Yes, they're suffering from "oh man I've seen those kind of thing" stuffs but who's not? It's been decades ago since the first anime was made and since then, the evolution of story became pretty significant. Plots have been recycled million times and were just enjoying some "little innovations" that these animes have inserted to give us what we'd all enjoying now. Sure some animes might serve entirely different things from what we are used to but that doesn't come very often and should not affect what we perceive others. Just like Music, lyrics have just been retold in different ways many times, the musical notes have just been rearranges many times, the way the instruments were played and stuff that if we will listen to it closely is just the same thing but still, even that said we're fond of Music and never stayed out of it's water.

I once wished that Naruto gone Shoujo instead! Hinata is FTW!

More girls from Naruto

Of course our babes from Bleach

Think about the list below;

Storyline/Plot : Lucky Star, Doraemon, Yakitate Japan
Animation: Slam Dunk, Ranma 1/2 (just outdated)
Character Design and Development: The Ultimate Survivor Kaiji
Music: Lucky Star

What's my point?

That even though these animes lack some substance (example: right storyline for Lucky Star), they're still...if your an anime lover you know exactly what I mean.

School Rumble has the tendency to compromise the plot just to make us laugh sometimes.

I remember watching Trinity Blood, and just by the first episode i had fun and decided to continue watching and man I fell in love with it. Even though I find some areas vague, I'm satisfied as anime fan. *And I do hope they make sequel* But if I say I've read it's review first hand, maybe I gone the other way, just forget about it and not be able to experience what I've experienced when I watch it. The bottom line is, reviewers doesn't really know what really interest you. But that must not work cause "ultimately, different people have different needs so different animes suit different people. It’s that simple!"

Trinity Blood is such a waste?
My Verdict

Just like what I've said, to create one of a kind anime is very though nowadays and to do such may compromise the whole thing. Some may can't fully understand the difficulties and might end up labeling an anime mediocre in the process. Needless to say, you watch or don't watch them because of so many different reasons, but either way you still have the final say and nothing should take that away from you. Final thoughts? There's no such thing as mediocre, you should just think "They just don't like it."

ToraDora

One of the interesting upcoming anime, Toradora.

Fall of 2008 will be exciting for us anime lovers. Bunch of new shows will be out soon. No, I will not join the bandwagon of bloggers giving their portion of their brains making predictions and criticisms about the newcomers cause I'm kinda late to do that. But for the latest list of animes and what others have to say about certain shows, you can check out that.animeblogger.net. I saw few familiar titles with their sequels; Nodame Cantabile Paris, Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae, Vampire Knight Guilty, Clannad ~after story~etc. that surely must see and should be in my watchlist.

But as i reading other anime blogs *~memories-of-eternity~* and does some reading to what should and should not be watch, Toradora rung my bell. I've been in so much shoujo lately*I call it Shoujo Overdozed, thanks to my former classmate for recommending some titles and i got hooked.* so I find the story seem kinda common in the sense of it's plot,-one school guy hoping to have a good year in the class-of course doesn't date anybody yet but have interest in going out with one and that's one of the reason he's so pumped up for school-then meet a prominent violent girl that no man would ever fall for since she is scary-definitely not the kind of girl he is dreaming about and as for the girl you never have thought that she will also fall for the guy but as usual setting goes-they end up liking each other. But I have a good feeling about these though. Why you might say? Didn't t you just say it has common plot? Well there are couples of reasons.

I didn't discount what some bloggers are saying about these since I never read the manga and i don't want them to influence me just of yet. And of course i don't want to spoil the anime version. I'll just leave it that way, that the description of Toradora is interesting so I'm going to watch it. Here is much detailed description of Toradora.

Aisaka & Takasu. Takasu, not your typical light novel male lead.

Facts:

Light Novel - Yeah, the usual genre for us teens and those young adults. I don't know if it's a plus but I find the male lead, Ryƫji Takasu, is different from your usual weak, indecisive, & bored main character.

J.C. Staff - Producer behind the animes titles like Honey & Clover, Ghost Hunt, Nodame Cantabile, and Ai Yori Aoshi just to name few. It's writer, Yuyuko Takemiya I have to say is good considering her work Watashitachi no Tamura-kun which I find again very interesting. Also Yasu's character design are awesome.

Seiyuu cast - Rie Kugimiya - Rie-chan has been labeled and stereotype as the tsundere's voice since she's the voice behind tsundere characters we hated & loved (Shana & Louise). Maybe it's not a plus factor for Toradora since the main female character which is Taiga has similarities with Shana and Louise thus she could suffer just by having the similarities plus the fact that she now have the voice of Rie-chan. It may create "Oh she's just like Shana, Louise" impression which is not fair considering that she seem to be a promising "another flavor of tsunderekko"character. Although i like her voice, it just that i want to hear others do what she does. Think of Ai Nonaka and Rei Tanaka, wouldn't that be great?

Zettai Ryouiki - Maybe I have these sort of fetish *No I'm not pervert, who are you calling pervert you damn...? It just no man can and will never be able to resist them.* What's not to love about them? It's a fashion statement and loli's are best seen with their "absolute territory" open to public, for admiration.
Taiga Aisaka may look familiar but I don't care. Hot Zettai Ryouki!

My Verdict - Regardless of what others have to say and thoughts about these show, I love the fact that these is another tsundere love story and got my interest just reading it's description. My gut feel is telling me these one is a must see and that's all that matters now. Just like what I've said earlier, it's kinda unique in it's own little way.
