Lelouch Versus Light

Zero or Kira?

Another week has passed and that also mean for me to post my second Versus post. I've been thinking of what should be here after the first where Shana had the upper hand against my bet Louise through survey in Mr. Danny Choo's site. So after anime characters why not repeat it with another characters? So I thought about continuing these with Yagami Light & Lelouch Lamperouge.

No, I'm not going to ask if who's the most handsome of the two. I don't want to sound gay by doing that. Yes they're a kickass combo if we're going to talk YAOI! Eww! Just Kidding. Alright the subject is, who's is the most powerful, Light or Zero?

Powerful? I'm not just limiting these with their used of Geass and Death Note since I think Light would have some advantages over Lulu. But what I'm trying to imply here is; who is the most efficient when it comes utilizing their "resources". Not just their power alone, it can also be their logics and analysis, human manipulation, deception, and even sacrifices that they did.

It has been a diffucult debate for myself to decide who's the best since the creators has been brilliant in manifesting the kind of characters they want the viewers to perceive of them. Since I saw Death Note first, I thought Light has been the most wicked protagonist so far but then here comes Code Geass which is reminded me of Death Note, with Lelouch doing some tricks similar to Light actions . And after the first season of CG, I found many similarities between them. Both are designed to seduce the girls and gays, with the help of their kickass hairs! They both have alias; Kira and Zero. They became, as for me, cold blooded killers and chaos makers but hailed by most their hero. They have "partners" to whom they've gotten their powers. They will also do whatever it takes, even to kill their close someone just to stay unbusted.

Behind Every Success of a man there's a Monster or a Weirdo?

My Verdict

We all know Light died and we still don't know what will gonna happen to Lelouch as the second season is still on going but even though I can't rank one of them higher than other but my vote would be for Lelouch if . He has the power to manipulate girls. Yeah think about it, think about the babes of CG, using it to command them to love you, wouldn't that be cool? And now, how about the death note? You can't use it and write their names in the notebook and do what? Heart attacks? Neh, that would be irrational! And again I'm just kidding.

Update:

Episode 25 of Code Geass might be the last episode for Lelouch to use his Geass and do what the others are calling breathing! Check Dark Mirage's Episode 25 review to see what I really mean.

ToraDora

One of the interesting upcoming anime, Toradora.

Fall of 2008 will be exciting for us anime lovers. Bunch of new shows will be out soon. No, I will not join the bandwagon of bloggers giving their portion of their brains making predictions and criticisms about the newcomers cause I'm kinda late to do that. But for the latest list of animes and what others have to say about certain shows, you can check out that.animeblogger.net. I saw few familiar titles with their sequels; Nodame Cantabile Paris, Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae, Vampire Knight Guilty, Clannad ~after story~etc. that surely must see and should be in my watchlist.

But as i reading other anime blogs *~memories-of-eternity~* and does some reading to what should and should not be watch, Toradora rung my bell. I've been in so much shoujo lately*I call it Shoujo Overdozed, thanks to my former classmate for recommending some titles and i got hooked.* so I find the story seem kinda common in the sense of it's plot,-one school guy hoping to have a good year in the class-of course doesn't date anybody yet but have interest in going out with one and that's one of the reason he's so pumped up for school-then meet a prominent violent girl that no man would ever fall for since she is scary-definitely not the kind of girl he is dreaming about and as for the girl you never have thought that she will also fall for the guy but as usual setting goes-they end up liking each other. But I have a good feeling about these though. Why you might say? Didn't t you just say it has common plot? Well there are couples of reasons.

I didn't discount what some bloggers are saying about these since I never read the manga and i don't want them to influence me just of yet. And of course i don't want to spoil the anime version. I'll just leave it that way, that the description of Toradora is interesting so I'm going to watch it. Here is much detailed description of Toradora.

Aisaka & Takasu. Takasu, not your typical light novel male lead.

Facts:

Light Novel - Yeah, the usual genre for us teens and those young adults. I don't know if it's a plus but I find the male lead, Ryƫji Takasu, is different from your usual weak, indecisive, & bored main character.

J.C. Staff - Producer behind the animes titles like Honey & Clover, Ghost Hunt, Nodame Cantabile, and Ai Yori Aoshi just to name few. It's writer, Yuyuko Takemiya I have to say is good considering her work Watashitachi no Tamura-kun which I find again very interesting. Also Yasu's character design are awesome.

Seiyuu cast - Rie Kugimiya - Rie-chan has been labeled and stereotype as the tsundere's voice since she's the voice behind tsundere characters we hated & loved (Shana & Louise). Maybe it's not a plus factor for Toradora since the main female character which is Taiga has similarities with Shana and Louise thus she could suffer just by having the similarities plus the fact that she now have the voice of Rie-chan. It may create "Oh she's just like Shana, Louise" impression which is not fair considering that she seem to be a promising "another flavor of tsunderekko"character. Although i like her voice, it just that i want to hear others do what she does. Think of Ai Nonaka and Rei Tanaka, wouldn't that be great?

Zettai Ryouiki - Maybe I have these sort of fetish *No I'm not pervert, who are you calling pervert you damn...? It just no man can and will never be able to resist them.* What's not to love about them? It's a fashion statement and loli's are best seen with their "absolute territory" open to public, for admiration.
Taiga Aisaka may look familiar but I don't care. Hot Zettai Ryouki!

My Verdict - Regardless of what others have to say and thoughts about these show, I love the fact that these is another tsundere love story and got my interest just reading it's description. My gut feel is telling me these one is a must see and that's all that matters now. Just like what I've said earlier, it's kinda unique in it's own little way.

Better Tsundere

Louise Versus Shana

Obviously, this is my Versus post. These will be a weekly basis post *at last I came up with something that I'll be posting for every week i hope I can keep up with it*. Lately I been thinking what I should write since my blog is new and I'm blabbing so much about how excited I am and thought it would be easy but i was wrong! I hope somehow these will save me, at very least. Basically I'll be featuring two from anything, it could be any animes, figures, other otaku stuff, seiyuus, cosplayers, etc. depending entirely to... me of course. From the two I will choose my pick and give my thoughts why i picked that.

For the my premiere week; who is better Tsunderekko? Louise of Zero no Tsukaima or Shana of Shakugan no Shana?

Disclaimer: This doesn't mean that the two are the best tsundere character. I only loved the fact that they have the same seiyuu and my favorite Rie Kugimiya.

What is tsundere? Most anime lovers already know these frequently used term in the otaku community. The term is used to describe a rough (conceited, spikey, combative as wikipedia defines it) personality that later on turns to be a lovely being isn't that sweet?. Most of them slowly develops feeling toward their "partner" and behave entirely different to their initial tough front. There you have it for all who doesn't know yet. Check Wikipedia for more detailed tsundere.

My Pick:

Coming Soon, Much Sooner to what you expect. Neh...

Seiyuus are Seductive

Yes ,Yakumo is a seductress.
Art by ~TimbitsOrAegrus @ deviantart.com

Yeah Japanese language amaze me so well maybe because of how the Japanese speak it, so amusing. That's one of the reasons i keep watching animes, *I know I'm not the only one.*. It is so lovely, so addictive, so artistic *It's an art* you can't help but for you to find a comfortable place and keep watching just to hear Japanese girls say such as kawaii, yamate, oishii, suki desu, iie, souka and eh toh (uhm) kinda erotic *No I'm not trying to be indecent here and just so happen to sound like eroge here ~ yamate!*. And definitely the Japanese girls have the cuter tones than boys and because I'm a boy. lolz

Here are some of my favorite expressions from anime characters

Shana's - Urasai, urasai, urasai!
Dita's - Sugoi, sugoi, sugoi!
Yakumo's -Aah nooh...

Just hearing these phrases from them makes me jolts! Bigtime!

I found these following characters' voices seductive.

Jura of Vandread - seiyuu Yuu Asakawa
Kyon's Sister of Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - seiyuu Sayaka Aoki
Fuuko Ibuki of Clannad - seiyuu
Ai Nonaka
Mikuru of Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - seiyuu Yuuko Gotou

You, who seduces you?

With Fuuko's voice, I can jump off a cliff!
